A short but very eventful tour to Baikal. During the week, you will see all the main attractions and beauty of the South-West coast of the legendary lake.

DAY 1

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting with a guide at the airport. Transfer to the town of Baikalsk, accommodation in hotel. Baikalsk is located on the southern shore of lake Baikal, at the mouth of the river Solzan and Harlot
14:00 - Lunch
15:00 - City Tour
19:00 - Dinner on the shore of lake Baikal with a bonfire and tasting of Baikal dishes.

DAY 2

9::00 - Breakfast.
11:00 - Excursion to a small lake located in the forest near the foothill of the Khamar-Daban ridge. A walk around the lake. Hamar-Daban is a mountain range in the South of Eastern Siberia in the southern Baikal region, mostly within the Republic of Buryatia. The slopes of Khamar-Daban, adjacent to the South-Western shore of lake Baikal, are the wettest place in the Baikal region and are rich in vegetation.
14:00 - Picnic (tasting smoked omul and Siberian herbal tea).
16:00 - Transfer to the hotel.
19:00 - Dinner.

DAY 3

9:00 - Breakfast.
11:00 - Boat excursion to the Circum-Baikal Railway. Walk along the longest tunnel on the Circum-Baikal Railway. The Circum-Baikal railway is a small section of track along lake Baikal. This road was previously called the "Golden buckle of the steel belt of Russia". The Circum-Baikal railway is the most unique railway in the world. The road builders cut tunnels right into the rock, without retreating a meter deep into the mainland. The goal was: that passengers who travel this route constantly see Baikal.
14:00 - Lunch on the lake shore (authentic Baikal fish soup).
15:00 - Free time (swimming, walking around).
18:00 - Transfer to the hotel. 19:00 - Dinner.

DAY 4

7:00 - Breakfast.
7:30 - Transfer to Listvyanka village. Visiting the Limnological Museum, the source of the Angara River, the Museum of Wooden Architecture. Listvyanka is located on the right side of the source of the Angara river and stretches North-West along lake Baikal (Listvenichny Bay) for 5 km. In Listvyanka, several streams and rivers flow into Baikal, the largest of which is Krestovka.
13:00 - Lunch (Siberian cuisine).
15:00 - Excursion to Irkutsk city.
18:00 - Transfer to the hotel.
19:00 - Dinner.

DAY 5

9:00 - Breakfast.
11:00 - Excursion to the Baikal Biosphere Reserve. Walk along the ecological path passing through the site of the Siberian taiga and swamps. The Baikal biosphere reserve is a place where rare and relict species of plant and animal worlds are preserved. Its main territory is located within the Khamar-Daban mountain range, extending to the southern shore of lake Baikal.
16:00 - Lunch-picnic on the Baikal shore.
15:00 - Visit to the Baikal Museum with interactive exposure. In Russia, there is only one Museum of the lake-the Baikal Museum. It is located in the village of Listvyanka on the Baikal coast, at the source of the Angara river. Here you can get acquainted with the history of studying lake Baikal, its inhabitants and flora.
18:00 - Transfer to the hotel.
19:00 - Dinner.

DAY 6

8:00 - Breakfast.
9:00 - Excursion to the Tunkinskaya (TUNKA) valley. Visiting the waterfall in the foothills of the East Sayan Range. The Tunka valley lies between the mountains of the Sayan range and the ancient taiga-covered slopes of Khamar-Daban. It stretches for 200 km, gradually rising from 550 to 1200 m above sea level, with a width of 20 to 30 km. the Tunka valley has long been inhabited by people who were attracted here by the picturesque nature, relatively warm climate, fertile land, and beautiful pastures for livestock. The history of the Tunka valley is closely related to the history of the Mongol world. Once the entire population of the valley was subject to the great Mongol Empire, so many names of localities are of Mongolian origin. Some of the local attractions are associated with the name of Genghis Khan himself.
14:00 - Lunch (Buryat cuisine).
15:00 - Visiting mineral and hot springs.
19:00 - Transfer to the hotel.
20:00 - Dinner.

DAY 7

6:00 - Breakfast.
6:30 - Transfer to Irkutsk airport.
